Lily enjoys a ride with the luggage
Christmas tree in the hotel lobby in Shanghai
It is 3am China time and we are all wide awake, all of us
except Daddy who has ear plugs in and a pillow over his head. Travel all went well and after 14.5 hour
flight we were ready to get off the plane.
Unfortunately that just lead us to the long line of “foreigners” waiting
to pass through immigration. The line
snaked around several time and Luke was on his “I’ve got so much energy I might
explode mode.” We passed the inspection
point and collected our luggage and made it out of security into the huge crowd
waiting to connect with passengers. Luke
spotted Daddy first and I spotted the guy holding the John and Karen Prescott
sign.
Our hotel room is ultra-modern. There is a glass wall separating the bathroom
from the sleeping area. Once you turn on
the light the wall turns opaque. There
is a TV above the tub that doubles as a mirror when turned off. Daddy had lots of snacks and noodles in a
bowl so we decided to get by on that for dinner.
This morning we will head back to the airport for the short
flight to Nanchang. We will have time to
get settled in before meeting Jing Yi tomorrow.
When Lily woke me up this morning at 1:30am she said was just too
excited to sleep.
