Our most recent photo of Hong, Jing Yi

I just wanted to share our most recent photo of Hong Jing Yi, soon to be Lauren Jing Yi.  Her appearance has changed quite a bit from our initial referral photo.  Her hair contains a lot of brown tones in this photo and people have commented that she looks more South American than Asian.  We are in love with her sweet round face and are counting the days until travel time.  John leaves next Tuesday to teach at Qingdao University for a week.  He loves the chance to visit his professor friends in Qingdao and on this trip he has been asked to work with the trumpet players. 

 The kids and I will leave on December 21 to make the long journey.  So many holiday activities between now and then-I wonder how it will all happen but I am happy to report that the majority of items needed for the trip are already lying haphazardly in suitcases on our bedroom floor and the Christmas shopping is done.  Our remodeling of our home entryway starts next week (like we don't have enough going on) but it can be separated off from the rest of the house while the walls are painted and new tile installed.
